KIDS COUNT: Education and Well-Being in Maryland

Maryland children and their families are facing significant challenges, mirroring national trends of increased absenteeism and declining school test scores, the 2024 KIDS COUNT Data Book shows. Maryland ranks 22nd among U.S. states in this year’s Data Book.
