Today, Maryland Treasurer Nancy Kopp announced she will retire at the end of 2021. Maryland Center on Economic Policy President and CEO Benjamin Orr issued the following statement:
“In her decades of dedicated service, Treasurer Kopp has been a strong advocate for transparency around the use of public funds and other sound fiscal policies. At key moments, she has been a critical voice supporting the needs of Maryland families as the Board of Public Works weighed budget changes. I and the rest of the team at the Maryland Center on Economic Policy thank her for her years of leadership and we wish her the best in retirement.”
